I’m an Assistant Professor at Louisiana Tech University in the School of Biological Sciences. I recently completed postdocs with Sam Fuhlendorf at Oklahoma State University and at the National Institute for Mathematical and Biological Synthesis. Other fun facts about me and my work can be found on my NIMBioS interview profile.

I am originally from Charlotte, NC and did my undergraduate at Emory University in Atlanta, GA and my masters at Murray State University in Kentucky (with Howard Whiteman). I received my doctorate in Biological Sciences in 2012 at the University of Missouri under the direction of Ray Semlitsch. My dissertation focused on the effects of leaves from forest on pond ecosystems and amphibians.

On a more personal side, I enjoy hiking, knitting, camping and bike riding.
