Spikes

The average length of 110 spikes was 7,4 cm (the hairs not calculated).

Length (x, cm) of 110 (y, amount) slash-and-burn rye spikes. Most spikes were 6 cm long (19%), closely followed by 17% of 8 cm long spikes and 15% of both 7 and 9 cm long spikes. The short spikes of 3, 4 and 5 cm are partly those that my sheep ate during the early summer and the data concerning the short spikes are not valuable.
