RESEARCH

Research interests

My research interests focuses on three different areas:

1. Personalized learning. The current projects aims to study how personalized learning is helping students to developing more sense and meaning to the academic activities they participate into the school context. We study different persaonalized learning strategies and their impact on students' learning and their identity as learners.

Research projects:

2. Lifelong learning in the field of adult literacy. I had worked on research-action communitarian programmes directed to immigrant mothers (see Interweaving Cultures project and the first book below developed from it; and see also a project to recover Náhuatl narratives with indigenous people in Puebla, México through the link http://www4.nau.edu/seminario/), and also in educational programmes directed to families with children under 3 years in Catalonia.

3. Second language acquisition in multilingual contexts and equity. I have developed many publications studying Linguistic Interdependence Hypothesis with immigrant students in Catalonia, and also addressing the specific conditions for creating an inclusive school for minority students. This was my PhD focus.
