May 2021: Our Undergraduate Senior Design Team, composed of Trevor, Matthew, Alberto, and Pragun and co-supervised by Prof. D. Yankelevich, has won the Senior Design Award in the RF-microwave-millimeter wave-THz category. Many congratulations!

August 2020: Congratulations to Hai Yu for winning the 3rd Place at the 2020 IEEE International Microwave Symposium IMS2020 with the paper "A 162 GHz high resolution dielectric sensing system based on ring resonator sensors". This work has been directed by Prof. J. Gu and co-advised by Prof. Gomez-Diaz.

10th April 2017: Our invited review paper "Flatland Plasmonics and Nanophotonics based on Graphene and Beyond" has been published in Nanophotonics (De Gruyter). This work is a collaboration with the groups of Prof. Pai-Yen Chen (Wayne State University), Prof. C. Argyropoulos (University of Nebraska) and Dr. M. Farhat (King Abdullah University of Science and Technology).
2nd April 2017: Our invited review paper "Graphene-based Antennas for Terahertz Systems: A Review" has been accepted in E-fermat and is available in arXiv.
1st March 2017: Dr. Gomez-Diaz has been selected as the recipient of the 2017 Leopold B. Felsen Award for Excellence in Electrodynamics. This is an early career award for researchers up to age 40, by nomination only, given by the European Association of Antennas and Propagation. He will receive the award at the EuCAP banquet in Paris, France.
