I serve on the board of Veerni, a project focused on secondary education for child brides in Rajasthan. Veerni’s mission is to educate and empower adolescent girls from poor villages in the desert areas around Jodhpur in Rajasthan, India so they can lead healthy and productive lives free from poverty, coercion and disease. The Veerni Institute currently focuses on one central initiative, a facility which provides lodging, meals, school supplies, supplementary educational programs, tutoring and healthcare for 75 girls so that they can complete their secondary education, with the long-term aim of preparing them to continue into higher education or vocational training.

I am part of the New York City Advisory Board of iMentor, a non-profit that partners with high schools and builds mentoring relationships. iMentor seeks to empower first-generation students from low-income communities to graduate high school, succeed in college, and achieve their ambitions. I am part of the Founding Board of Compass Pro Bono in New York City. Compass Pro Bono partners with nonprofits to deliver high-impact, pro bono consulting and governance support through a network of experienced professionals who are motivated to volunteer their expertise in service of the social sector. Programs include short-term consulting engagements designed to address immediate organizational challenges, board placement, and training to strengthen long-term nonprofit leadership.
