Horse Head Nebula

Notice how few starts there are in front of the dark nebula. The bright emission nebula (upper 3/4 of the image) is IC434. The horse head nebula is Barnard 33 (B33). The reflection nebula at the bottom left is NGC2023.

The seeing at the start of the night was terrible, and most of the early frames had to be rejected. To make matters worse, light cloud also caused problems, resulting in even more rejected frames. So this image is stacked from the best 11 images out of the original 19.
