Day 5 4/11
Seminar EdTPA workshop.
As, we are most probably at different phases in the process I will arrange for homogenous groups for the first 90 or so minutes for group members to provide encouraging feedback on each other's work thus far and help to fashion a plan to finish their edTPA. The second half will be heterogeneous groups for people further down the road can offer some advice to those earlier in the process. In both phases you can reference the Handbook linked in our class file cabinet and its rubrics to help guide feedback and discussion. Expect to make brief share-outs at the end.

Introducing Planning Commentary, evaluation sharing. (60) 6:00
Objective: to build student understanding of requirements for effective planning and planning commentary. In Pairs
1. Open this COMMENTARY document and review the instructions.
2. Open the Handbook and go to page 13

Motivation: How does the current theory on motivation impact our thinking about teaching practice and education in general? Film- Daniel Pink on The Surprising Truth About What Motivates Us (30) 7:00

Fieldwork Discussion (all students SUTEC and NP) Lesson Plan Share.
1. Go to Google Group thread 3) Fieldwork Lesson share/discussion.
2. Click Reply, Upload as an attachment your lesson plan THAT WORKED best thus far, other materials, sample student work,
3. Introduce your lesson and why you think it worked, and what you were left wondering about after. (one paragraph each min.) DUE: 3/7 midnight.
4. Reply to one classmate's post and offer warm feedback and/or questions and/comments.  DUE 3/14 Before class.
