You’ve exhausted your own coping mechanisms and inner resources. You’ve searched for answers on the web and in self-help books. You might have received advice from family and friends. Still, living life is a painful struggle. My goal as a Clinical Psychologist is to assist you in finding relief as soon as possible through new insights and tools to improve your life. I use a supportive, collaborative, and persistent approach to encourage changes in thoughts, behaviors, and feelings.
I am collaborative, compassionate, and accepting. I think therapy is most successful when clients set the agenda for us to address together, and when they feel safe enough to do so. I encourage clients to honor their own ideas, beliefs, and feelings, sharing mine when it seems appropriate and helpful.
You might not be sure whether therapy is right for you, or what kind of treatment would be helpful. Seeking help can feel like a big step, and trying to find the right therapist can seem like a daunting task. Please feel free to call me for a consultation. We can talk about your situation and goals. I will be happy to help you find the right kind of treatment and appropriate referral if needed.
