Haymitch's name means hayseed. Hayseed has three main definitions. The first definition is: grass seed,especially that shaken out of hay.The second definition is: small bits of the chaff, straw, etc., of hay. The thrid definition is: an unsophisticated person from a rural area; yokel; hick. With these definition the thrid definition is the most like Haymitch. Haymitch is a little hillbillyish. He lives just like a hillbilly living in the mountains. He lives alone and his olny friend is his moonshine. Which explains why he is always drunk.
