Teaching Overseas
Or underseas, whatever your preference
My name is Jason. I went to China during Christmas of 2007 where I met some Canadians and Americans who were teaching English at universities and schools. I began to think how cool it would be to do that since I love to travel and I am a teacher at heart. At the time, however, I had a good-paying job.
Flash forward to November 2008: the economy had crashed, I was jobless and my friend was moving back to Seoul so she suggested I look for work in South Korea. I did, and got a job with TOPIA from February 2009-March 2010 teaching elementary students. I loved that job tremendously, and have frequently considered returning. This page is a collection of everything I think would help you out if you, too, decide to teach English overseas, especially Korea.
