I am a sociologist, highly trained in qualitative and quantitative research methods. For the past three years, I worked as a data analyst for the University Information Technology Services (UITS) at the University of Arizona. In my role, I extract data from Salesforce, Google Analytics, and survey responses to tell stories of user journeys in R and Tableau. I help design surveys in Qualtrics and create Tableau dashboards uploaded to the university server.
Previously, I taught SOC 300 - Sociological Theory to undergraduate majors at the University of Arizona as a term-limited instructor in sociology. At Bard High School Early College in Newark, NJ an underserved neighborhood, I taught world history, modern East Asian history, and sociology. I was also a college guidance counselor at BASIS Tucson North. I helped high school students navigate the college application process. As a first generation college student myself, I understand how difficult it is to understand the admissions process.
