Thank you for coming to my ePortfolio.
Ji Eun commenced her Nursing career as a Registered Nurse in 2009 in the Republic of Korea and had extensive experiences in South Korea . In her 20s, she had a passion to expand her horizon in the world, so she passed NCLEX-RN in 2011. She had a belief that one day she wanted to be used to help people for those who need help in the world, whereas she was afraid to go abroad herself. In October 2016, just before the end of her 30s, the chance came upon her. The South Korea government supported youth to go abroad and helped them to find a job. Since then, Ji Eun has worked as a supportive care worker from 2017. After getting married to Tae Hong in 2018, she commenced the Master of Nursing Practice at University of New England in 2019 and is now prepared to step into the Australian nursing pool.
Hi, my name is Ji Eun. It is called "Jiun" which is a very common Korean female name. The meaning of my name is Ji, which means to pursue meaning and Eun, which is grace. My value is to leave a good influence on people every way I could and I want to be remembered as a warm hearted person. Like a person who wants to know more and make you smile and bring good energy.
Why did you become a nurse?
"You look like a nurse" my friend told me. And, my mother wanted me to be a nurse.
I wanted to help people. So, nursing was the job that suits me best.
However, there were many times when I felt it was hard and challenging.
But I found that there is nothing more satisfying than helping people out when they needs it most.
Eventually, I love my job.
Who are you?
I am very curious. Loved to do crafts and learn something new such as cooking, dancing, and painting. Like the same way, I love to know about my patient and disease and talk with family. The more I know and the more I do person-centred care. I am responsible for my nursing practice and think about the safety of my patients. I am optimistic and resilient. I tried to look on the good side and learn something from mistakes and experiences.
