I discovered Kuiper Belt Objects in the ICE HUNTERS project sponsored by NASA. These are being registered by the science team with the Minor Planets Center at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington D.C. , administered by the International Astronomical Union ( IAU ). Under IAU rules I have the right to names these minor planets . This will be done in due course. Please see this link :- https://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=322278104496793

My final GZ1 galaxy classifications tally as at 9/1/2009
Galaxy classification leader's list as at 10.41 a.m. at 16/10/2007 ( before it was withdrawn for administrative reasons )
MY GALAXY CLASSIFICATION STATISTICS ( as at 6/1/2009 ) - shown in the attachment ( 5 ) at the bottom of this page - I am glad and feel privileged to say that I am still the No.1 most prolific galaxy classifier in the Galaxy Zoo project ( Stage 1 or also known as GZ1 ) as the first stage is winding down to give way to GZ 2 ( a more in-depth analysis of the research data ) in the very near future.
( N.B. GZ2 has gone live since 16/2/09. Please click on this link to access the second stage of the Galaxy Zoo : - http://www.galaxyzoo.org/ )
MESSAGE OF CONGRATULATIONS FROM GLOBAL MODERATOR - ( Messages of well wishing in the official Galaxy Zoo Forum ) in attachments ( 1 ) at the bottom of this page.
GALAXY CLASSIFICATION LEADERS' TABLE ( as at 16/10/2007 ) - shown in attachment ( 6 ) at the bottom of this page - before its was removed from public view for administrative reasons. Only the top 25 of the 150,000 plus galaxy classifiers were shown.
MESSAGE FROM GALAXY ZOO TEAM LEADER - PROF. CHRIS LINTOTT ( UNIVERSITY OF OXFORD ) ACCEPTING MY EXPERIENCE FOR GZ2 TUTORIAL USE( attachment ( 4 ) ) at the bottom of this page. Personal e-mail messages from the TEAM LEADER is an extreme rarity during the hectic days at the beginning of the project. This is totally understandable in view of the numerous queries from over 150,000 Zooites. I think these 2 e-mail messages from Chris will be valuable memorabilia of the Galaxy Zoo Project which is arguably the most successful citizen science project to date.
MESSAGE FROM GALAXY ZOO TEAM LEADER - PROF. CHRIS LINTOTT ( UNIVERSITY OF OXFORD ) CONFIRMING MY NO. 1 POSITION ON CLASSIFICATION LEADERS' LIST ( attachment ( 3 ) ) at the bottom of this page. Personal e-mail messages from the TEAM LEADER is an extreme rarity during the hectic days at the beginning of the project and I am glad to say that I have the great honour of both ( or all - I only sent 2 ) of my e-mail messages answered personally by Chris.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8kOIVvO-ZNI ( Galaxy Zoo on SKY AT NIGHT - BBC - Galaxy Zoo Team Leader Chris Lintott & Hanny Van Arkel, the discoverer of HANNY'S VOORWERP ( object in Dutch ) appearing on the famous UK astronomy program. HANNY is now a worldwide celebrity. Her object is a new kind of astronomical object thought to be a light echo from a dead or switched off quasar. The Galaxy Zoo team has successfully applied for precious Hubble Space Telescope observing time to further investigate the nature of this strange object. This is the first time ever for Hubble time to be awarded to discovery made by an amateur astronomer. There are over 30,000 applications every year for Hubble observing time. So, everyone would appreciate the importance that the scientific community has attached to this new discovery in the Galaxy Zoo project. My congratulations to Hanny on her observant analytical skill and constructive curiosity in asking the right question. I must also thank Hanny for helping me to post many of my galaxy images on the official Galaxy Zoo Forum at the beginning when I was so fully absorbed in analyzing & classifying galaxy images from the SDSS Database. ).

This is my favourite BLUE ANGEL ( a merger of 4 galaxies with a star forming the head in our line of vision ) discovered by me in early August, 2007 just 3 weeks into the commencement of the Galaxy Zoo project )
Another strange and spectacular merger discovered by me very early in the project. You will note that the number counter to the top right has not yet been put in place like the first image.
The full wide angle view of the above merger from the SDSS Database.
