The Human-Automation Collaboration (HAC) Lab, directed by Dr. Jing Chen, focuses on how people interact with automated systems, ranging from semi-autonomous vehicles to cybersecurity systems. Specifically, the research focuses on human trust, decision making, and risk taking, as well as design considerations to better assist users in their goals.

Research by the HAC lab is partly funded by the National Science Foundation.
