Jing Chen

Welcome to my website!

I am Assistant Professor and Director of the Human-Automation Collaboration Lab in the Department of Psychological Sciences at Rice University. I received my Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology and M.S. in Industrial Engineering at Purdue University in 2015, working with Dr. Robert W.  Proctor.

My research interests focus on investigating the fundamental principles of human performance and decision-making, and applying these principles to cybersecurity and human-automation interaction problems.

I am accepting new PhD students starting in Fall 2024. Please see the information here if you are interested.
