We now have new lake testing equipment. It is a YSI SoloPro obtained by grants from Columbia Basin Trust and our local RDEK; Brian Passey spearheaded the application with help from BCLSS. We had a Zoom meeting by Marie and Norm of BC Lake Stewardship (BCLSS) to go over the required testing of our lake. Attendies were John, Brian, Don and Brien in our community. Testing of our lake will be twice a month starting in the middle of May and continuing until October.
August 2021
With the help of BC Living Lakes we are applying to the Columbia Basin Trust for funding of a YSI test unit to measure oxygen and temperature at various depths of our lake. The old YSI equipment was irreparable and Living Lakes www.bclss.org would like us to start new readings (with new YSI and Secchi disk) in 2022 with their assistance and JLCA volunteers.
