We are trying to resume normal operation of our Community now that Covid has subsided a little, our next meeting should be our AGM with elections.

Normally the AGM is in April but with juggling time it has been delayed.

To JLCA members

 We are starting a new year for the Jimsmith Lake Community Association but due to covid 19 we are not looking for renewals for membership at this time.

When life returns to more normal we will then ask for everyone to renew their memberships.

We the executive thank you for your support and look forward to being able to get together again. Hopefully in the not too distant future.

 Everyone stay safe and maybe we will see you on the lake.

Christmas Caroling - Monday Dec 23rd 2019

Where:   On the lake by the community dock, in front of 4289 Lakeview Dr. (usual place)

 We are getting together to sing some Christmas carols on the lake (If you can’t sing like me come anyways to enjoy the company).

Everyone is welcome. Bring friends and families

A Warming Fire and some Mulled Wine and Hot Chocolate provided by the JLCA

 Bring snacks to share if you want and let’s celebrate the holiday. Cheers and have a Happy Holiday if you can’t make it.

JLCA belated “Earth Day 2018” and AGM - Sunday May 6th

10 AM start to clean up the area, you can meet at Alex and Sandy's yard first, get garbage bags and find out where to go.

 Open fire, hot dogs etc. around noon.  When you return with garbage, trucks will be available to load.

 After lunch our AGM will commence! BC Parks staff will be attending.

Greg is a busy man - whether he’s pulling weeds (not just here), counting bats, building bird and bat houses, taking care of the turtles at Elizabeth Lake, doing nature walks, spotting birds or working with the Rocky Mountain Naturalists (to mention a few),

Presentation gardener's workshop on invasive plants @ 4PM

The presentation goes over some of the more common horticultural invasive plants sold locally, why they are invasive, and what can be grown instead. 

Will also present strategies to deal with some invasive plants found in the garden and along the roadsides.

We are hosting another community cleanup in honor of EARTH DAY.

 If you are interested; 'pitch in' from 11-12:30 this SUNDAY.

 Bring your garbage to Tom & Kristen's @ 4280 Hilltop Cres.

What a great day for the 2013 Winter Party!  Great turnout, thanks to all for coming.

A big thanks to John for having the ice in perfect shape and all those involved with set up.

WOW!  The food was all #1 what a variety!

In the meantime I would like to award "FIRST prize" to Greg and Shirley C. for being the first to pay their 2013 JLCA dues.
