$1750 This is a 1994 Chevy S10, V6, 4WD, automatic transmission, extended cab, pickup truck with 140,000 miles. It has passed the emissions test every year since I arrived in the Atlanta area in 2007.
The good:
It can get between 18-22 mpg highway depending.
The A/C is cold and has a new compressor as of 2006.
The cruise control works.
The tires are good, almost new.
The passenger side window works fine and got a new window motor in 2006.
That said, there are some issues... but for the price...
There is no spare tire thanks to my X.
The driver’s side window does not roll down but I’ve got all the parts and a new window motor that should fix that.
The way you put it in and out of 4WD is unconventional… but it works and is dependable. There are two valves in the cab that you use. The factory engage/disengage works with a vacuum but the vacuum lines are rotted and very hard to get to. I simply branched around that part with some tubing and valves.
The ignition switch in the steering column partially wore out. You could turn the car on but turning it to the start position was not trustworthy. It would work from time to time. To get around this I cut a hole in the steering column to allow you to force the issue.
Miscellaneous dings dents and holes in the body.
The windshield wiper motor may need replacement soon.
The anti-lock brakes are not working. There is a problem with the sensor. I didn’t like them so when they quit I didn’t have them repaired.
