Courses

I used to be in charge of the Chair "Machine Learning and Robotics" at the University of Stuttgart. We currently offer (i.e., summer Term 2020) two courses:

I organized a seminar on "Algorithms for Imitation Learning" at the University of Stuttgart in the summer term 2018/19.

I gave a series of math lectures at the University of Stuttgart in the winter term 2017/18. This course was called "Theoretical and Methodological Foundations of Autonomous Systems" and it is part of the Master program of the university. I recaped the essentials of linear algebra, optimization, probabilities, and statistics in order to equip students with the basics of speaking maths to formulate problems in intelligent systems research.

I gave an introduction to Riemannian geometry gest lecture for first-year Ph.D. at the International Max Planck Research School for Intelligent Systems - IMPRS-IS - first boot camp in October 2017.

In the Winter term 2015-2016, I taught a module called "Artificial intelligence for Robotics" in the master program of the University of Tuebingen, Germany. The content of the class covers material from several textbooks of importance in the area:

In 2013 and 2014, I filled in for some of the undergraduate level robotic navigation classes at the Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) with Prof. Sonia Chernova. I also participated in some of the graduate level artificial intelligence classes at WPI with Prof. Dmitry Berenson. The teaching material can be found on the respective websites.
