A google map of locations mentioned in the Memoirs..
John wrote his war memoirs over a period of 5 years between 1995 and 2000. After his death we could not find a digital copy but recently have scanned and extracted text from a printed version. A copy has been lodged with the Imperial War Museum, but we believe they are of more general interest as a personal account of a soldier's experience of World War 2. Translating to the web also allows linking to other on-line resources, which I hope enhances the experience. I also include a pdf version, scanned from the original, which may be more convenient to read. (David Liverman, 2015)
