John Liverman, born October 21 1920, died January 10 2009
Memories and tributes by friends
John's funeral and celebration of his life were held on January 24 in Oxford. The main event was a get-together in the Old Library, part of the University Church of St. Mary the Virgin, High Street, Oxford. We had a lovely lunch, marked by speeches from Stephen Liverman, Tony Epstein, Penny Wright and Jet Harris, followed by brief memories from the assembled guests- just over 50 friends and family. Thanks to everone who came, and helped us remember a remarkable friend, colleague and father. We know many others would have liked to have joined us but were unable to through force of circumstances.
John's ashes were scattered in October 2009, near Low Longmire Cottage in the Lake district.
