Welcome to my website!

I am Professor of Labor and Migration Economics at Kiel University. I am also an IZA Research Fellow and CESifo Research Network Affiliate.

I consider myself as an applied economist, mainly interested in migration, labor economics, and economics of education. More specifically, my research interests focus on the development and allocation of human capital as well as on the consequences of migration and differences in human capital on individual, aggregate, and social outcomes.
