How To Become Saved
Confess your sins and repent. Truly feel sorry the sins you have committed and confess them to God. “we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive our sins, and to cleanse us form all unrighteousness” (John 1:9). You don’t have to confess your sins to any man—only God.
Accept the fact that Jesus died for your sins; that He was buried, that He arose from the dead on the third day and appeared unto His Disciples and many others; that He ascended into Heaven.
Believe with your heart that God forgives and accepts you. When forgiven, you will have the assurance of the Holy Spirit that you are saved and have become a child of God. “The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God” (Romans 8:16).
Surrender your will to God. Be willing to give up your sinful way of living, and promise to live a life that is pleasing to God. He will help you to do so.
He can and will save the uttermost, all that will come unto Him, believing and accepting Him as Lord and Savior, love and obey Him; because He loves you more than your mind can comprehend (Romans 5:8). Let Him change your life that you may become a new creature in him (2 Corinthians 5:17). That you may at peace with God, yourself and others. You can accept the place and position that the Lord has or will give you and be satisfied. There is no need to live in a world of fantasies, but in a real world, with real purpose. He died for you, and you need Him as your Savior, more than anything that the world can offer. If you are unsaved, please read the following verses from the Bible:
John 3:16 God loves you
Romans 3:23 All have sinned
Romans 6:23 The wage of sin; the gift of God
John 1:12 The way of God
1 Corinthians 15:3-4 God’s remedy
Revelation 3:20 You may be saved now
Romans 10:9-10 and 1 John 5:13 Assurance of salvation
1 Peter 1:18-19 Jesus redeems with His precious blood
What to do after becoming save?
1. Read the Bible daily and pray. Talk to Jesus as your friend. Remember He loves you and is concerned with everything that concerns you. He understands and is always willing and able to help you I in any need.
2. Find a church home. Ask God to direct you to a church He would choose for you. Find the one where you will be able to learn more of God and His Word, and where you will find warm fellowship with other Christians. Attend services regularly.
3. Witness to others. Begin telling others what Jesus has done for you. The Lord will certainly open doors of service for you as you learn more of Him and His will for you.
