Here are the links to the sites for the two programs we used today. All the Alice items are completely free, thanks primarily to Carnegie Mellon University and EA Games. GameMaker has free Lite editions as well as a Pro edition that costs about $40. Keep in mind, though, that the Lite edition is more than enough to get started in using GameMaker. GameMaker has also just released a version called GameMaker:HTML5, which is designed for making web-enabled games. GM:HTML5 is technically still in beta testing, but is higher in cost. Right now it is $99 and will eventually be $199 to purchase.
