The Principal Voices Project keeps a steady pulse on K–12 leadership by surveying school principals nationwide about important issues. Every survey is:
Short and focused: Fewer than ten minutes.
Rewarding: Each completed survey enters you in a gift-card raffle. Hundreds of principals across 47 states have already been rewarded for their time.
In return, we share concise reports that bring principals’ experiences and perspectives into public discussions about education. Our goal is straightforward: elevate frontline insight, inform better policy decisions, and give principals a voice in shaping the future of education.
Our national survey asked school principals how their schools are adapting to generative AI—from policies and professional development to classroom guidance and AI-enabled tools.
The results show substantial differences in how extensively schools have integrated AI. Schools serving more disadvantaged communities generally report less institutional preparation, with differences in district capacity accounting for an important portion of the gap. Principals leading schools with more developed approaches to AI are also more likely to believe that AI will improve student learning.
Completed national survey. Initial findings are now released..
