South Carolina is one of the most beautiful states in the country and I am proud to call it home. There are not many places where you and your family can camp in the mountains one night and visit a beautiful beach the next day.

We have been given a great gift - from the Mountains to the Sea of South

Carolina. It is our duty to protect our natural resources and pass this

beauty on  future generations.  Our legacy depends on being responsible

stewards - from the Mountains to the Sea.

 What can we do?

• • Encourage energy conservation through tax credits and incentives.

  • Require power companies to allow true net-metering (solar and wind power)

  • Commit to incremental funding of the conservation bank

  • Support legislation that requires public alert posting of waters that are unsafe for fishing and swimming
