Hello. Welcome to my website. 

My name is Jan Palguta. I am an Associate Professor of Economics at CUNEF Universidad in Madrid and a Ramón y Cajal Research Fellow supported by the Spanish State Research Agency (AEI). I am also a researcher at the TAX COMP branch of the EU Tax Observatory, an affiliate of the Global Tax Research Initiative and FEDEA, and a fellow of the Global Labor Organization. 

I am an applied micro-economist. I study policy-related questions about the impacts of taxation and regulation on the behaviour of businesses and individuals.

My research has been published by academic journals, such as the American Economic Journal: Economic Policy (x2), European Economic Review, Journal of Population Economics, Journal of Comparative Economics, and Urban Studies.
