Hello. Welcome to my website. 

My name is Jan Palguta. I am an Associate Professor of Economics at CUNEF Universidad in Madrid and a Ramón y Cajal Research Fellow supported by the Agencia Estatal de Investigación (AEI). I am also a researcher at the TAX COMP branch of the EU Tax Observatory, an affiliate of the Global Tax Research Initiative, an affiliate of FEDEA, and a fellow of the Global Labor Organization. 

I am an applied micro-economist. I study policy-related questions about the impacts of taxation and regulation on the behaviour of businesses and individuals, often public officials and politicians.

My research has been published by academic journals, such as the American Economic Journal: Economic Policy (x2), European Economic Review, Journal of Population Economics, Journal of Comparative Economics, and Urban Studies.
