Accomplishments - 2016

  • Middleton Educational Foundation: Science Program funding support ($2000)
  • Weekly Music for All Performances for Alzheimer's Patients at Artisan Assisted Living (In-Kind plus $100 outlay)

  • MCPASD Spelling Bee Fund (2016 - $500)
  • Wisconsin Academy Basketball Player for summer 2016 Season!($800)
  • James Helmuth Perseverance Award for MHS Graduating Senior Basketball Players spring 2016. ($500)
  • James Helmuth Perseverance Award at Infinity Black Belt coming up this summer!
  • Gio's Garden ($500) In memory of Carter, a brave soul whose life was rich with love from his mom, extended family, Mr. Welch and his loving safety dog Thor.

Accomplishments - 2015

  • Weekly Music for All Performances for Alzheimer's Patients at Artisan Assisted Living (In-Kind plus $100 outlay)

  • Fall Basketball Buddies with 50 participants at Kromrey Middle School!
  • MCPASD Spelling Bee Fund (2015 - $500)
  • James Helmuth Perseverance Award for MHS Graduating Senior Basketball Players spring 2015. ($500) - Tyler Ballweg and Emily Bergum
  • Two James Helmuth Perseverance Awards at Infinity Black Belt!
  • Raised and provided over $7,500 in financial support to Middleton families who lost their homes by fire at Forest Harbor apartments (in coordination with several collaborating agencies and community organizations).
  • Funded two summer football camp scholarships at DCYFL youth program.
  • Funded two kids in fall DCYFL football (8th grade) football team.
  • Spoke and provided academic support to the Simpson Street Free Press through a public appearance and interview.
  • Participated in fun runs to raise awareness and provide financial support to specific organizations

    • Battle of the Badges 2015 Fun Run and Baseball Game (5K)
    • Badger Children's Cancer Network (10K)
    • Good Neighborfest Fun Run (5k)

    • Lisa Helmuth received a Black Belt at Infinity Martial Arts in James' honor

Accomplishments - 2014

  • James Helmuth Perseverance Award for MHS Graduating Senior Basketball Players spring 2014. ($500)
  • James Helmuth Perseverance Award at Infinity Black Belt coming up this summer!
  • Sponsored high school athlete (Terrell Marquis Goodwan) in AAU Wisconsin Streak Select, Madison, Wisconsin!
  • Tracking the 2014 Year of Health and Fitness for James! Keeping track of all the activities that our friends participate in where they say a positive thought or dedicate a run, or even think a positive thought in James' honor! We will track these events on the site. We're excited to see what happens!
  • Funded two athletes in summer basketball clinics.
  • Funded two athletes in summer football clinic
  • Funded two athletes in Cardinal Youth Football Club fees.
  • Funded three athletes in fall 2014 competitive basketball.
  • Provided emergency funds $4000 to family due to loss of home from fire.

  • Planting of a Pear Tree at Stricker's Pond (Neighborhood Gift)
  • Interview at WORT - Writers on the Air on James' birthday.
  • Basketball for James (Open gym after memorial service, April 6th)
