This is my condensed portfolio of 5320 Message Design, ITEC 5120 Digital Imaging, and ITEC 5350 Digital Media in Instruction. Here you will find projects and assignments that I have completed in these courses including: Flyers, Instructional Visuals, Infographics, Theory Presentation, Personal Logo, and more! For a more in depth analysis of each of these images refer to the artifacts attached below.
5320 Message Design
Final Project Flyers
I created these as Facebook flyers and handouts for the library to give out as references.
This is the Instructional Visual I created to help my students see the importance of not letting their cell phone control them in class.
Original Revised with blue lettering for more readability.
Revised and Updated Super Hero Flyer
Personal Logo: Designed by hand-...These are some ideas that helped me create my logo
ITEC 5120 Digital Imaging
In this course I learned how to take pictures on a camera/cell phone and softly alter/manipulate them. I also wrote a paper about image manipulation and if it is possible to avoid a "photoshopped" life (see attachment). Here are some of the images I took and hosted on my Instagram account using the #itec5120. They each demonstrate photography best practices of dimension, movement, angle, perspective, focus, depth, light, frame, leading lines, rule of thirds, golden rule, etc.
ITEC 5350 Digital Media in Instruction
This was my progress on my first composite image on Photoshop. Eliminating the flag and adding the rover, moon and E.T. was a challenging task!
Experimenting with comic strip filters on photoshop and using the quick Pizap site helped me easily develop these images.
This goes to show the increased ability that I developed on Photoshop. This composite image took a lot more time than I anticipated, with many adjustments and miner alterations to affect the lighting and add even the grass stains on the jersey.
This was one of my most satisfying projects!
The project that made me feel most accomplished was the development of an augmented reality app that I could use in seminary (see attachment). This is what the interface would look like if I took it to a developer to create it. This was one of the most challenging, time consuming but rewarding projects I ever did throughout the course of my Instructional Technology program.
Ultimately, the project that was the most time consuming and challenging was creating a bicycle tutorial for the University of Wyoming. It was difficult enough trying to create a storyboard and then to video and edit all of the footage and training was a rollercoaster of an experience! (see bicycle attachments). This instruction video made me appreciate the time and effort that goes into the vast world of multi-media instruction.
