Jahalin Tours is a young initiative by Ahmad Abughalia and Daniel Weishut. The goal of our tours is to raise awareness about socio-political issues of the Bedouin and Palestinian communities, and thus promote peaceful coexistence.
Herefore we combine the background of both of us:
Ahmad is a Palestinian Bedouin from the Jahalin tribe, majoring in Political Science at the AlQuds University in Abu Dis (Palestinian Authority). He provides the inside knowledge for our tours. See also: Sheikh Ahmad Abughalia.
Daniel enjoyed a western upbringing. He obtained a Doctoral degree in Clinical and Organizational Psychology from the Professional School of Psychology in Sacramento (California, USA) and did his research on the challenges and opportunities in intercultural friendship. He has a Masters degree in integrative Business Administration from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. He works as psychotherapist and organizational consultant and provides his services as "Partner on the Way". He is involved as human rights activist with Amnesty International and the Public Committee Against Torture in Israel. Daniel takes care of the organizational aspects of the tours (pro bono).
