Bio

I have obtained PhD in Computer Science from TIFR Mumbai (then autonomous Institute of University of Mumbai and currently Deemed University) in 2005, under thesis Supervisor Prof R K Shyamasundar, and have worked as postdoctoral fellow with Prof Claude Petitpierre for more than year at Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL), Lausanne, Switzerland. I have taught B Tech, M Tech, and PhD courses in last 28 years, including some courses jointly taught with Wikipedia, Microsoft, Credit-Suisse, TCS, SAS, and IBM. I have received Sarojini Damodaran International fellowship during the PhD, and have been awarded with 'Gold Medal' for the university rank first in the Bachelor and Master Degrees.

My research and teaching interests are: formal verification, data science, machine learning, and synchronous programming and have delivered invited research talks in India and abroad; and also been a resource speaker in the workshops and faculty development programs. I have contributed in the professional work as an expert to: National Board of Accreditation (NBA) (Tier-I and Tier-II), All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), Maharashtra State Public Service Commission (MPSC), University Grants Commission (UGC), and have membership of professional societies IEEE, ACM, IET, CSI, ISTE, ISCB, IIPA, and fellow of IETE.

I am currently working as Professor in Computer Engineering and Information Technology at College of Engineering Pune, an autonomous Institute of Government of Maharashtra, India.
