Philomusica Symphony Orchestra, whose name originates from the words 'philos' (meaning love in Greek) and 'musica' (meaning music in Latin), is one of the orchestras at the University of Tokyo. I served as First Violinist and Stage Manager of Philomusica from March 2006 - February 2008. We had violinist practice meetings twice a week, and on top of that, the whole orchestra gathered together for practice once a week. Every summer and winter, we would go for a five-day training camp in beautiful surroundings near Mountain Fuji. During the two years that I was part of Philomusica, I performed in 4 regular concerts and 4 campus festivals.
Below is the list of the programs performed during the two years.
