Research Assistant
Designed, developed and conducted an experiment testing the applicability of the Multiple Resource Theory to optimize functionality of desktop widgets; became familiar with existing literature about desktop widgets and ambient displays generally and specific applications of cognitive psychology in developing such devices; recruited 30 of test subjects to participate in the experiment; created a simulated desktop environment for the experiment using HTML, C and Java; analyzed the data using Student's t-test; and wrote a research paper summarizing the findings using LaTeX.
Developed an application to find local hotels within a specific distance and compare specific features of the hotels by manipulating Microsoft Virtual Earth platform using Visual Web Developer 2008, C#, Javascript, Ajax and Microsoft SQL Database.
