Call for Papers: The 50th Annual Conference of JAER

 

Dear All,


  The 50th Annual Conference of JAER will be held at Doshisha University, Imadegawa Campus (Karasuma-higashi-iru, Imadegawa-dori, Kamigyo-ku, Kyoto, Japan) on 19-20 October 2024.


  We invite proposals for 25-minute papers on all aspects of English Romanticism.  Please send a 300-word proposal together with a brief C.V. in MS Word to jaer.secretary@gmail.com no later than 29 June 2024. Notification of acceptance will be made within the first two weeks of July.  Please note that all the parallel sessions are held on the second day of the conference, i.e. 20 October.  


   All those attending the conference must be members of the JAER or one of its sister associations: GER (German Society for English Romanticism), BARS (British Association for Romantic Studies), NASSR (North American Society for the Study of Romanticism), and RSAA (Romantic Studies Association of Australasia).

   Overseas applicants who need more than a few months to obtain funding for travel, and are thus unable to attend the 50th conference in spite of acceptance, will be entitled to present their paper at the 51st conference (October 2025).  Details of the 2025 conference will be announced towards the end of 2024.

The 48th Annual Conference of JAER will be held at Matsuyama University, 15-16 October 2022 (https://www.matsuyama-u.ac.jp/english/).


    We invite proposals for 25-minute papers on all aspects of English Romanticism. Please send a 300-word proposal together with a brief C.V. in MS Word to jaer.secretary@gmail.com no later than 25 June 2022. Notification of acceptance will be made within the first two weeks of July.

    We invite proposals for 25-minute papers on all aspects of English Romanticism. Please send a 300-word proposal together with a brief C.V. in MS Word to jaer.secretary@gmail.com no later than 26 June 2021. Notification of acceptance will be made within the first two weeks of July.
