I am currently an Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of Central Oklahoma, serving as the program coordinator for our General Psychology Master of Science degree and Assistant Department Chair. I graduated in August 2017 with a Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology (cognitive emphasis) from the University of Memphis having worked with Dr. Philip Pavlik, Jr. in the Optimal Learning Lab.
My research focuses on learning, memory, and knowledge transfer. This includes research on note-taking aid, the role of variability, transfer appropriate processing, cognitive load, depth of processing, feedback, and spacing during retrieval practice. More recently, I have mentored undergraduate and graduate students on research involving jury decision making and eyewitness memory.
My research lab, Cognitive Research in Knowledge and Educational Technology (CRiKET), consists of undergraduate and graduate students.
Please feel free to look around to learn more about me and my work!
