The 6th grade volleyball clinic is a five week program in the fall/winter of each calendar year. The 6th grade clinic is the next logical step for girls who have participated in youth volleyball programs during grades 1 through 5. The clinic has been an annual event since the winter of 2005/2006.
The 6th grade clinic focuses on teaching volleyball fundamentals and uses drill-based training. As the clinic progresses, team play is intermixed with the drills.
All clinic participants receive a souvenir T-shirt.
While weekly attendance is strongly encouraged, the girls don't have to attend every week of the clinic to participate in it.
The clinic is run by Sammie Dannug and Mike Hubbard with support from additional Jackson Local Schools volleyball coaches and players.
Funds from the clinic support the JVBC volleyball club and the JMMS volleyball program. The coaches are volunteers.
