Grant and scholarship opportunities

Just a quick reminder that the online application deadline for Unit Scholarships and Public Relations Grants isNovember 1. Please be sure to pass these opportunities on to your members. ECOEA awards a Unit Scholarship of $500, (three awarded, one to each unit) by lottery drawing of applicants. The drawing takes place during the ECOEA Rep Assembly on November 22.

Public Relations Grant applications are also online on the website. Grants up to $500 will be awarded at the Rep Assembly also. Please see the grant criteria on the website application or in the September ECOEA newsletter.

Columbiana County presidents are reminded to RSVP for OEA President Becky Higgins Meet and Greet which will bethis Wednesday at Shale Tavern at the conclusion of Becky's Listening Tour.

I hope you have elected your delegates and sent the information in to Carol Price at OEA so your local is represented when we convene on November 22 at the Canton Professional Educators' Office for the ECOEA Rep Assembly, and again in Columbus on December 6 for the OEA Rep Assembly.
