Welcome to my website! I am an associate professor of economics (with tenure) at the University of Utah, where I have been a faculty member since 2016. I hold a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Kent, an M.S. in Economics and Econometrics from the University of Kent, and a B.S. in Economics from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). My research and teaching interests center on macroeconomics and econometrics. My work focuses on:
Monetary economics, and its interaction with fiscal and financial stabilization policies.
Bayesian methods for time series analysis in empirical macroeconomics.
My academic research has been published in peer-reviewed journals including the European Economic Review, the Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, the Journal of Economic Surveys, Economics Letters, Regional Studies, the Review of Income and Wealth, and Macroeconomic Dynamics, among others.
