Activity. In the first phase of the project we tackled several scientific and technical goals. The main subject was that of construction of diffusion Markov processes associated to local infinitezimal operators. Another subject which is closely related to the first one, is that of construction of (cadlag) Hunt processes based on the existence of Lyapunov functions. The last research topic which we investigated, which is strongly related rather to the third phase of the proposed project, is that of inverse problems arising in PDEs and mechanics. Last but not least, we focused also on the development of the numerical computing resources, which are needed throughout the entire project, especially during pahses II and III.
