“Player of the Quarter” awards were introduced to provide additional and more frequent recognition of and encouragement to the club's players.
They are awarded to the player in each of five strata who has the highest average percentage in the club’s daytime games over the previous calendar quarter. The strata, based on a player’s total masterpoints at the start of the quarter, are:
Unlimited
No more than 1,000
No more than 300
No more than 150
No more than 50
To be eligible for the awards, the player must have played in at least 12 games during the quarter. A player cannot receive the same award more than once in a calendar year. The award consists of a certificate that will be presented before the start of a game at the club. In addition, the names of awardees will be posted in the club and emailed to the membership.
