Rules

This is not a race! It is an individual, ‘Personal Best’ event.
As such, there are only 3 rules:

  • Safety first – no exceptions!

  • Good sportsmanship is encouraged

    • Enjoy the ride

Guidelines for following the rules:

General

  • You must obey all traffic laws.

  • Do not use a mobile phone, earphones, headphones, headset, radio, or similar while riding. If you must - Do so while stopped, away from the road

  • Do not stop on the road. If stopped, for any reason - Pull off the road

  • Do not disturb (any) other road users

  • You're advised to be at the start 10 minutes before your start time

  • You should travel every cm of the route with your bike

  • You may proceed on foot along the route as long as the bicycle is present with you (carried, dragged, or pushed). You must stay off the road in such a case.

  • If you abandon, you should notify an official. All full laps up to that point will count

  • Keep enough room from other riders so traffic can comfortably pass one rider at a time. No passing is allowed when it might impede traffic

  • No drafting of any sort is allowed after the first 1 km of the route

  • No support, except in the designated areas near the start/stop

  • No support vehicles on course, other than official support vehicles

  • Appeals / complaints of any kind are accepted within 15 minutes of the finishing time

  • Warnings may be given at the discretion of any event official

  • The clock will not not stop for any reason

  • Riders and their support are encouraged to provide assistance to other riders as needed


Bike

  • Bicycles must be human powered only

  • At night and during low visibility conditions, the bike must be equipped with a non-blinking front and rear lights

  • Aero bars and disk wheels may be used

  • Any number of bicycles or replacement parts may be used during the event

  • Rider and frame number must be displayed and visible when crossing the start/finish line
