A Prayer to Isis for Healing

Blessed Isis, Glorious Lady,

You of the Healing Wings,

Bless these, Your children,

Nurture them, Holy Mother,

As their natural mother now cannot.

Restore them to Peace and Safety,

Heal them with Your Love,

Sustain them with Your Spirit,

Shelter them in Your Soft Hands,

May they feel the Light of Your Presence,

May they be strengthened by Your Touch,

Enfold them in Your Wings, Healing Mother,

Restore them with Your Virtue.

You of the Healing Wings,

I praise You,

You of the Healing Wings,

I thank You,

Isis of Pharos,

Isis of Menouthis,

Isis of Philae,

Ankhet, Pterophoros, Usert,

Radiant Goddess, Whose Power heals the world,

Bright Mother, Who nurses the spirit,

* I wrote this invocation during priestess training in the Spring of 1997 for two baby birds which had been rescued from a cat. Since then I have used this prayer many times, for humans as well as furry and feathered friends, it works equally well for all!
