For the month of January 2018, I studied abroad in Europe with a professor and twelve other students. We followed in the footsteps of several Romanticism authors such as Mary Shelley, Percy Bysshe Shelley, John Keats, and Lord Byron.

London, England

We started in London for a week, traveling around various museums and landmarks. We studied the beginnings of the Romanticism authors.

Geneva, Switzerland

We stayed in Geneva for two days and took a bus over to Chamonix, France to visit Mont Blanc. There we focused on the poem "Mont Blanc" by Percy Bysshe Shelley and the famous scene in the French Alps from Mary Shelley's Frankenstein.

Venice, Italy

We went to Venice to focus on Lord Byron's adventures. We followed his poetry throughout Venice.

Florence, Italy

We stayed in Florence for a few days, focusing on the intellect and art surrounding the city.

Rome, Italy

We ended our trip in Rome, exploring the burial sites of both Percy Bysshe Shelley and Lord Byron.
