Realistic Millimeter Wave Channel Modeling and Practical Receiver Design for 5G Cellular System
Millimeter Wave (mmWave) wireless communications is considered an enabling technology to allow fifth generation (5G) to achieve data rates in the order of giga-bits-per-seconds for future mobile applications. The main objective is to design a low complexity hybrid beamforming system taking into consideration the corresponding mmWave hardware constraints.

The main objective is to design a low complexity hybrid beamforming system taking into consideration the corresponding mmWave hardware constraints.
To overcome the RF hardware limitations in mmWave MIMO systems, a hybrid precoding structure, which divides the operation between analog and digital domain, received considerable attention as it only requires a limited number of RF chains between analog and digital precoders.

I have made research contribution on calculating the beamsteering angles at the transmitter, which then will be imposed to the hybrid precoding algorithm. This electronic-based phase scanning approach can give perfect approximate as well as high calculation accuracy for the desired angle of interest without feedback for the antenna elements. Thus, focusing on maximizing the signal power in the direction of desired phase shifter.
