Microaces Bristol F.2b S.No. B1228 'Brisfish' at Suffolk One college

Welcome to the web site for the Ipswich Radio Control Model Club.

The Ipswich Radio Control Model Club has been supporting model flying in the Ipswich area since 1964. It was formed specifically to fly Radio Control models (hence the name) and flew on Debach airfield and Martlesham Heath airfield along with an existing Control Line Club.

We have members with varying abilities from complete beginners to some very accomplished power and glider pilots.

If you are a beginner looking to get into the hobby we are all happy to give advice on all aspects of selecting, setting up and flying. We also have instructors who will help you avoid that initial disappointing crash all the way through to attaining British Model Flying Association (BMFA) proficiency certificates.

We have a very pleasant grass flying site with access 7 days a week. We also have access to other sites at various times, including an excellent hard runway on Sundays.

Whilst predominantly an aircraft club, helicopter and multi-rotor (drone) fliers are also welcome.

For chat and photographs of the clubs activities see the club's Facebook page by clicking on the logo below.
