Useful Gadgets

If you own a smart phone here are a few useful digital apps which may make life a little easier especially in the old cars that only have MPH OR no speedo's.

GPS TRIPMETER - OK, here is a great little app for Android phones, and it is free. It is a rally trip meter, measure your distance to the next point, and reset quickly for the next point. Also total distance travelled, and it also has a speedo, which is great for those Veteran/Vintage cars that don't have one. I haven't had any problems with it so far. Sorry, Iphone users will have to find their own version.

DigiHUD Speedometer - For Android phones. DigiHUD Speedometer is a free digital head up display (HUD) that shows useful speed (MPH KMH and KTS) and distance information, also maximum and average speed. HUD mode mirrors the display so you can read your speed reflected in the windshield of a night. It also has a compass and time, and a speed alert that you can set. This is the only one I have tried, and it works really well.

For IPhone users the only one I could find was this one below, I haven't tried it as I don't have an IPhone.

Speedometer - Free - Speed Limit Alert + HUD and Map

For Android phone users, there is a browser that plays flash content, FlashFox for the free version with ads (good to try and see if you like it) I tried it out on our IAMC Vehicle Slideshow, and it works.

For the ad free and pay for version go here FlashFoxPro
