I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at IIT Palakkad, India. Before that I was a postdoc (INSPIRE Faculty) at Chennai Mathematical Institute, India and at Ben-Gurion University, Israel. I was also an Assistant Professor in the School of Basic Sciences at IIT Bhubaneswar. I completed my PhD from IISc, Bangalore, under the supervision of Professor Siddhartha Gadgil.

My area of research is low-dimensional topology. I am interested in geometric, algebraic and combinatorial properties of curves on hyperbolic surfaces. I am also interested in the elementary theory of groups of geometric origin.
