Both work also in english and accept Visa or Mastercard. The website for the busses is also in German.
You can also buy train tickets at the tickets desk in the beautifull trainstation in Oostende, if you won't use the train a lot.

There's a busstop at 100m from our house with bus lines 51 to Oostende.
Both arrive at the station in Oostende where you can take bus and tram.
In Oostende you arrive in the center or you can take the tram at the Tramwaystation to go both sides of the whole coast.
If you want to visit Gent, Brussels, Antwerp you have to take the bus to Oostende and then the train to the different cities.
Antwerp station is in the town center, Brussels same, in Gent you must take a tram (n°1) at the exit of the trainstation to the center (get out at Korenmarkt) .
If you want to visit smaller towns or discover the surroundings you might need a car.
