Justice Dataset

The Justice Dataset collects data on the administration of Justice in Italy from 2005 to 2021. For each Court the database presents data on the flows of proceedings (occurred, resolved and pending), on the judges and 4 indicators: efficiency rate, disposition time, clearance rate and resolved corrected.

Data used for the construction of the Justice Dataset have been collected from official sources. They have been aggregated on the basis of the Territorial Districts of the Courts (Circondari Territoriali dei Tribunali) and Districts of the Courts of Appeal (Distretti Corti di Appello). See the Appendix for details on sources and methodology.

The data are freely available and can be downloaded at the link at the bottom of the page. We would like to express our gratitude to Orlando Biele (PhD) for his valuable contribution.
