About the Books...
These books consist of step-by-step tutorials that will guide the student through the drawing of an architectural project. The Quick and Easy Guide to Learning Autodesk® Revit® 2015 through 2021 books guide the student through three two-dimensional drafting projects and a three-dimensional model of a two-story residential house.
The Commercial Drawing Using Autodesk® Revit® 2015 book project is a one-story commercial building. The Commercial Drawing Using Autodesk® Revit® 2016 through 2021 book project is a two-story commercial building. The tutorials for all of these books are written in a step by step format.
The student will receive instruction that will allow them to create the model, details, renderings, and construction document sheets for the structure. Please visit the Book Samples page for examples of both books.
About the Tutorial Videos and Support Files...
Tutorial videos and Revit family files and are available for use with the textbook. These files consist of videos that show the step-by-step procedures of the textbook projects. All book tutorials from start to finish are available on video. To access the videos and support files you will need to purchase either book. The support files include custom title blocks and family files to be used when working through the tutorials. Rather than send out a DVD with the book, the student will be able to access files that are updated regularly through this site on Google Drive. Please see the "Before you begin..." page at the beginning of the book for Google Drive links to the Tutorial Videos and Support Files.
Drawing Units and Purchase Outside the United States
The drawing units used for the Residential and Commercial projects are in Imperial (Feet & Inches) units. If you are purchasing the book for use outside of the United States, please verify that the projects are compatible with the Architectural drafting & design standards for your country.
There are many excellent books out there that will help you to learn the Revit program. The goal of my books are to make this process as simple and as interesting as possible. The book tutorials and videos have been tested under classroom conditions and are in a constant state of improvement. Please feel free to contact me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions about the book or tutorial videos.
